South West Bible College

South West Bible College operates as an extension centre for Alphacrucis College (formerly Southern Cross College), Sydney, offering one course – a Certificate IV in Ministry. This certificate will satisfy the academic requirements for receiving an AOG minister’s credential.

Course Structure

This certificate requires the completion of 8 modules or subjects (6 course subjects, 2 practical field placement modules). For 2010 we will offer up to three subjects. Each subject runs for one semester (or 15 weeks). There are 2 semesters per year. The course may be commenced at the beginning of any semester. Students may choose to study as either a credit or audit student.

When Does it Run?

  • Monday evening – one class - 7:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Tuesday – three classes - 10:00am – 11:30am; 1:30pm – 3:00pm and 7:30pm – 9:00pm

For semester two 2010, two subjects will be offered:

  • Christian Worldview: Christian Worldview looks at the central elements of Christian faith, helping students to explore the beliefs that are core to Christianity. Topics covered include the Triune God; Human Alienation; The Person and Work of Jesus Christ; Conversion and Sanctification; Spirit Baptism and the Nature of the Church.
  • Evangelism: Evangelism is an essential expression of healthy Christian faith. This subject examines the components of effective evangelism and discipleship, and emphasizes the empowering role of the Holy Spirit in evangelism.
